Easter Bonnet Bearded Iris by Regina Geoghan. A portrait image of a beautiful tall-bearded iris aptly named Easter Bonnet just after a rain shower. Hybridized by Norton-Maxwell and registered-introduced in 1943, this cheerful, spring-colored iris stands out in pinks, deep red accents, bright yellow edging on the standards and falls and a yellow beard. This photograph was taken at the magnificent Presby Memorial Iris Garden in Montclair New Jersey where each year thousands of both historic and current irises bloom in an incredible rainbow of color in springtime. This is just one of the beautiful irises that bloom in multitudes of hues and patters and shapes and one Regina Geoghan's collection of portraits of the iris blossoms found there.
